PRIVATE VOCAL STUDIO SEEKING WORK STUDY STUDENTS FOR WINTER SEMESTER.

Wickham Vocal Studios midtown location (34th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues) is currently offering WORK STUDY positions for the Winter semester (December 2009 – March 2010). A premium voice training institution, this is an excellent opportunity for singers to receive advanced singing training they couldn`t otherwise afford. Celebrating its tenth year in business in NYC, Wickham Vocal Studios is a well-respected voice studio in Midtown Manhattan located across from Penn Plaza. SEEKING THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

• OFFICE ASSISTANT (x2)

• PR/MARKETING ASSISTANT

• RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST

Advancement opportunities are available for exceptional applicants.

Program tuition usually ranges from $275-575 p/month depending on the class, frequency and duration. Work study credit ranges from $10-15 p/hour (based on experience), and may be applied toward the following programs:

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

• Vocal Integration (advanced-level private instruction)

• Voice Technique (novice and intermediate-level private instruction)

• Voice and Speech (Dialect and Speech training for actors)

• Alexander Technique

• Songwriting/Theory

• Piano

GROUP CLASSES

• Vocal Performance Class (begins winter 2010)

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

• Established or aspiring professional singer looking to advance your vocal technique and performance abilities

• Some stage or acting experience

• Singing or vocal ability at an INTERMEDIATE-or-better level

• Minimum three-month agreement

• Healthy and articulate speaking voice

• Outgoing and positive attitude

• Past voice training is recommended, but not required

• Past professional experience in the position applying for required

General Business Hours are:

Monday - Friday 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Saturdays 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

We will consider students for ALL shifts, but the following are especially sought:

- Wednesday 2p-9p

- Thursday 2p-9p

- Friday 11a-6p

- Saturday 11a-6p
